Barr Flight & Barr butter dish and covers.

A Superb Barr Flight and Barr Worcester Porcelain Butter Dish and Covers, Circa 1807-13.

In three circular sections, the base with inner and outer concentric compartments, the outer for crushed ice, the inner for serving caviar or butter. This is covered by a two gilt handled pierced cover, topped with a domed lid with a gilt handle.

Beautifully decorated in the neoclassical taste with gilt vermicelli, gilt bands of scrolling foliage with anthemion and cornucopia., reserved on a pale peach ground. Full red script makers mark referring to Their Majesties, Prince of Wales and Royal Family.
