A FINE 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANHY & MARQUETRY EIGHT DAY LONCASE CLOCK BY JOHN MARRIOTT, LONDON CIRCA 1775.

Cross banded and inset with floral marquetry, the arched hood with arched glazed door flanked with brass inset fluted columns and sound frets. The silvered Roman chapter ring with Arabic outer minute markers within fine Rococo quartered gilt spandrels, with a strike/silent silvered ring above, a second marker dial, along with a date aperture. The case with a long moulded door with recessed fluted gilded capital & foot quarter columns, upon a moulded panel and stepped plinth base and shaped apron.
