A Fine Pair of Mid 19th Century Carved Giltwood Armchairs In the Manner of John Linnell. English, circa 1840
With oval upholstered panel backs on foliate uprights with bowed stuffed seats and padded splayed arm supports on fluted tapered legs headed with paterae. Damask silk upholstery. The foliate carving on the curved uprights supporting the backs are a feature of chairs from the workshop of John Linnell.
