Regency Rosewood & Brass Inlaid Dressing Case. Of Exceptional Quality London 1823

Of oblong form with profuse brass work and inset brass carrying handles, opening to a gilt tooled red leather and velvet interior, fitted with a collection of cut glass bottles & boxes with silvergilt lids, and an assortment of tools, including scissors, boot hook, nail files, penknife and shoehorn (Asprey's 1873). A removable top layer revealing an assortment of brushes and combs, and above a shallow velvet lined jewellery drawer. 15x11x7.5in.
