A FINE 19TH CENTURY SILVERGILT DESSERT DISH, LONDON 1885.

Of octagonal form with a pierced and engraved border showing grapes & vines, around a superb enraved arorial bearing a Viscounts coronet and apposing rampant lions, a scrolled banner under bears the motto: linea recta brevissima  (Straight line is the Shortest)
